Starting School

We understand that starting school is a big deal. We believe that it is vital that your child’s transition to school is well planned, well organised and well considered. We personalise the process for your family and do our very best to get to know your child before they start at school.
This process includes:
  • A meeting with the Principal or Deputy Principal (AFTER you have been accepted as an inzone or out of zone
  • A tour of the school
  • Submitting enrolment forms and providing necessary documentation
  • School visits (if starting for the first time)
  • Welcome pack including info about Ag Day

How to Enrol

Brookby School operates a Ministry of Education-approved enrolment scheme.

Information and details of Brookby School's enrolment scheme and zone can be seen below.

In-zone students need to complete an enrolment form (click here) and bring copies of the necessary identification with them to pre-enrol.

Out-of-zone students need to complete an out-of-zone enrolment application form (click here) and submitted via email to the office before 31 AUGUST 2026.

The out-of-zone ballot date for 2027 (should it be required) will be between 01 September and 18 September 2026.

Acceptance of out-of-zone enrolments is according to the school enrolment policy and should be clarified with the school at the time of enquiry.
